In this concert you’ll hear fabulous music by composers who thought outside the box… musicians who followed more than one profession, like Alexander Borodin, Charles Ives and Franz Liszt.
As co-founder and artistic director of St Barnabas Sunday Concerts, Gillian Keith and Tom Randle present this intriguing programme of songs, melodies and serenades, and are joined by brilliant ‘cellist František Brikcius and top pianist George Ireland in works such as Liszt’s ‘Liebestraum’, Ives ‘Memories’, and Borodin’s famous tune used in the musical ‘Kismet’. A concert of wonderful music and the stories behind the minds that created it.
Sunday, May 26th, 4:00pm. Admission is FREE with donations gratefully accepted (£5-£10 suggested) in support of Mental Health UK. Come along to hear some wonderful music and the stories behind the minds that created it.
